Just to say hello, I'm the proud owner of a 10 month old VW pre owned Black 2.0 TFSI Sport manual with beige leather interior. Built in Sat Nav which seems so complex and blows my mind that it routes me around traffic! Plus automatic seats, which feels really indulgent!

I have a feeling that I may never have the top up unless its raining! Having never had a drop top before, Im amazed by the perspective you get on buildings etc. Had an hour driving round Central London at night the other day with some friends - amazing!

I'm way too old to be this excited by a machine!!! lol

I will look out for you on your EDA's! I see a lot of Eos whilst walking around town, usually around 5.30 when work kicks out!! Welcome and enjoy! :)
Still always puts a smile on my face - enjoy:D
Thanks!

I am going to have to learn how to drive it a bit less eagerly though - I've averaged 10 mpg over 120 miles - which is going to be expensive if it doesnt get better!!:D
Hi Johnny your're going to have to be rich!!!! at 10mpg but seriously when you have spent some more time together the economy bit fall fall into place.

These cars are "Fun" and I know all the owners I have ever spoken to think it mulitplies by vast factors with the roof down.

So enjoy your new toy to the full.
Thanks!

Welcome Johnnyrich. I think you need to let the handbrake off:D
Don't suppose you were driving by St Paul's Cathedral at lunchtime today? Spotted one with a personalised plate but cannot remember for the life of me what it was supposed to say!
Hey there.

No that wasn't me, I've just got a regular 58 plate.

And I was at work at the time :D

Much as I like cruising round C London!
We also have the black with beige (although automatic) - wonderful car. Always fun to spot another EOS in the crowd.
So latest report.

I feel like Im having an affair. She's definitely my new baby now, fortunately the other half who has no interest in cars or driving said "the journey's part of the day out now!"

Im getting to know her little foibles during the cold spell, see my post in the Q&A on ice.

I realise that I have different wing mirrors to every other EOS I see. Not sure why that is!

If someone sits in the car wearing cheap new jeans, then I have to get the scrub out to get the stains off the beige leather, it really does take a good scrub! Its a good indicator of who I should be giving lifts to lol

Her effortless motorway cruising has been an absolute dream. I find her so difficult to stop going well over the limit. The stereo is great, the sat nav is very good, although the stern voice of the woman does make me feel like Im back in school.

Cant wait for it to warm up a bit so I can have the top down! I've got people lining up for tours round London!!!

In all that rain we had, I didnt get one leak, no water in the boot, and just the passenger doorwell with the foot flood when you open the door.

From someone who did about 5,000 miles a year in his 10 year old Focus, I've covered 3,000 miles in 2.5 months. Any for some ungodly reason, my insurance went down!

So all in all, I'm chuffed to bits.

Easy, VW changed the mirror design. ;) Later cars have a more pointed design and deeper housing (front to rear) with a thinner indicator strip, earlier cars had a more rounded/rectangular design with thicker indicators. I'm not too sure when the mirror change happened, the Eos I had on holiday in Spain last year had the early mirrors, mine has the later ones.
