Check the coolant temperature sensor. Here’s a video about that.
This isnt an after driving problem. This is a situation where i have to disconnect the battery. And reconnect wether its after a run or at the start of the day. Once the battery terminals are connected the fan will run. Also, there is a "cool down" feature for hot climates where the radiator fan will still operate after the ignition is switched off until the coolant temperature drops to a preset level where the fan then switches off automatically. This is a normal aspect of my partner's Eos behaviour in summer driving
I note you are in the Bahamas and accordingly would have a tropical climate similar to where we live hence the need for additional cooling after the engine stops running on hot days.
Hi,Check the coolant temperature sensor. Here’s a video about that.
As voxmagna says, that's likely to be a failsafe. Unplugging the temperature sensor from a working car may cause the fan to start, so I think you're right not to assume anything and continue your investigation.Hi,
Saw the video and will look into it. I did disconnect the sensor while doing my checks and the connector was still energized. But will try having a diagnostic done.
Appreciate the tips
