Hi, i have recently bought a 1.6 2007 vw eos pre facelift, with a faulty roof, leaking seals and occasional engine light (I baught it for 750£ as my first car 2 days after passing my driving test, and since these usually go for around 2000£ i didnt expect it to be perfect haha) i love it, looks cool for a first car and cheaper to insure that a 1.0L deawo ( cant spell the name haha) matiz, so i went for it, and i occasionally get an engine light after a 30 minute highway run, it shows up with these faults:

(The rear left window never worked since i baught it in november)
The boot closing aid didnt work, i baught a replacement as i thought it might get the closing aid working, but i connected the new (used) part and still nothing, i expect something is unplugged else where, but thats not the fault at hand, the reason i get the light is because of the faults:
P3078 Throttle Control: Airflow at idle too low
P0420 Catalyst System Bank-1, Efficiency Below Threshold,
Ive put cata-clean through it, with shell v-power, and after a quater tank it didnt show up for a while which i was happy about, but today i did about 70 miles and it showed up as i got home, im not sure why it shows up, ive asked a few mechanic friends and they arent sure, and since 'unnecessary' travel isnt allowed i cant go to them to get it checked with their computers (i used a Carista OBDII VAG scanner for the faults, and im not sure what to do of this,
Thanks in advance,
Kac

You will have to work through the faults and replacement parts may cost more than you think, but that's why you got the car cheap. If your windows have faults your roof will not work.

Even if the roof never works, you've got yourself a bargain Golf coupe there. The engine codes don't sound too problematic to solve; the other ones less so.
