Finally got to take the two week old Eos on a road trip. Any buyers remorse is gone. Ft.Lauderdale to Orlando / Leesburg area (Florida), 759 miles round trip. With the exception of traffic, crused at 75 mph and averaged 29.3 miles per gallon. Not too shabby. It rained a little and the wipers came on a little. It rained a lot and the wipers came on fast. Wow, I love tech. My mother in law was in back seat and with the Dyna audio I could barely hear her complain :) Just kidding, she didn't seem to mind the ride in the back.

Sport package seats were firm, but actually pretty comfortable. Suspension was really nice. I was afraid after reading some posts here I might have made a mistake, but it handled really well and was comfortable. Tire noise was loud at times depending on road condition, but I am used to driving my Avalance which is really quiet and my wife's Mustang GT convert which has all kinds of noise. Maybe it is supposed to sound that way. Got to play with and enjoy all the features, except the roof, South Florida being what it is. Winter will be here soon and the Eos will shine then.

Only a few minor problems, small leak in heavy rain on passenger "A" post, what sounds like could be an air/wind leak somewhere but could actually be nature of car and outside driver mirror self dimmer doesn't dim. Not too bad and after reading the posts here I am confident dealer will fix.

I am impressed with the Eos and am confident I made the right choice. Most importantly, my wife, who's car the Eos is, actually told me this morning that the Eos was a really nice car and she is starting to get used to all the nice features. Heck, it took her a long time to fall in love with me so a couple weeks for an Eos isn't too bad.

Not sure if this is the same symptom but I also get a bit of that at both door pillars. If its been raining and the door is opened or the window taken down some water seems to run into / onto the join in the inner trim and appears like a leak.

I must admit to loving that technology that controls the wipers as well, and living in Scotland it gets more use than average.

One time was after opening the door and I thought the same, but the other was just after a heavy rain at highway speed with no door opening. Not talking about a lot of water, but just enough to say " Hey, that's not right" and raise concern. And of course this is not good with my wife still in the "getting used to it" evaluation mode.

mine is now watertight but only after applying Krytox on a regular interval. it also stops any creaks especially from the side windows.

Krytox: How and where?

Ok, I am convinced that I need to get Krytox to stop the leaks and squeaks. The VW parts guy did not know anything about it.

Where can I get it?

How and where do I apply?

And should I try putting it on before taking to the dealer for the small dripping in the A post in heavy rain?

Thanks

Went to VW, parts guy gave me the VW part lube (same as Krytex?) and I will try when car gets home tonight. Thanks for the input.
Make sure it's VW part number "G 052 172 A1". It's been reported that some VW people have recommended the wrong lube.
