I envy your location not the car!Nice to meet you my fellow Cali peeps! Good to see our admin is from local too so be sure to take good care of me Andrew. My bro in law is up in Mill Valley so I'm sure you're from up in that area huh? Love the bay area.
I finally took the Eos for a topless joyride from Carlsbad down to La Jolla and back along the water and it was awesome. 80 degrees, Big Gulp in hand, and Sirius radio spittin' out some kickin tunes. I can't tell you how many looks we got. It's only a sin if you are the one envying and not a sin to be envied right? Ha!!!
Hope there's no rule on that! Personally I think its great to hear our Californian cousins talking about driving top down in that beautiful weather they have - I am jealous as hell but I can visualise the experience, and that makes we lust after my Eos [27 days to go now] even more. Think of us, now and again, as you cruise around - I love the Bay area!I envy your location not the car!
Please spare a thought for us Brits who are still hoping for a warm sunny day
(Sorry perhaps, should not post on other regional forums)
I'm putting the finishing touches on the install today. Pics will soon follow. Did you get the tech package? b/c it includes the backup camera!!! So far it looks stunning and I can even control mute and vol from steering wheel. Used existing Sirius antenna and mounted gps and xm antennae under trunk lid and works great! Mic was mounted inside overhead lamp where it is placed for OEM nav. If the AVIC z2 is a 10 then the VW nav is a 3. Soooooo much better. Pro-install cost 1,000, but it looks stock and I was able to roll it into my car loan. Whole thing cost just over $3k. Not too much more than the Stock, but oh so much better!I see from your signature you have a Pioneer AVIC Z2 sat nav system. Is that in place of the VW offering?
If so can you post pics of it installed in the Eos I am very interested in alternatives.
Thanks in advance
