Hi all,

When i got my new Eos both number plates were stuck on using pads rather than screw fixings. The rear one seems fine, but after a few weeks due to the curvature of the front, the near side had come unstuck. I then bought some new thicker (6mm) pads from Halfords, supposedly designed for a slightly curved fitting but i think the near side pad is starting to come loose again. I did clean both surfaces properly using the alcohol wipe and left the car in the garage for 48 hours, twice as long as the maximum set time.

Anyone any advice?

hate to state the obvious but why not just use screws

Exactly the same thing happened with mine. The rear plate is fine because it is mounted flat, the front came unstuck because of the curve. Just drill the plate through in situ and screw it in place. Two minute job.
