I had my car chipped yesterday with the APR chip. I was out in the country a few days before I had the wirk done and the garage that I found didnt have any super unleaded, so I used normal/

When I drove the car this morning it felt super quick. I went to the garage, flushed the injectors with redex and filled up with Shell V power. The car felt quicker and even more responsive.

On a whim I rang the rolling road and explained to them and they invited me down for a freebie.

Well!!!, the bhp was up by 3 and the nm by 5nm since the rolling road yesterday and I put that down to the fuel.

I usually get 350 miles per tank when driving normally and 255 when I boot it. When the tank is done I will tell you what I get, im booting it, just so you know.

Barchetta some questions
i thought that if you chipped the 2.0t it was to take advantage of super unleaded higher octane
is this true or can you still use normal and get the power increase( petrol is sooo dear now i cant afford the super stuff anymore, bloody government)
also what mpg are you getting before and after chipping?

I paid a bix extra and can toggle between 2 maps, one for super high octane, the other normal. You do this by toggling the cruise control button

Will let you know about the mpg

So am I, third time lucky lol

The flash that I paid for was the upgraded version.

You can have the standard flash where it is permanently on the high octane fuel, you can use standard fuel, the ecu takes this into account and moderates the map accordingly.

I had the optional extra. By running through a sequence of commands by turning the ignition on and off and not starting the engine, flippimg through functions on the cruise control I can flick through 3 maps.

Firstly stock VW as per the factory, secondly mapped but taking into account low ocatne and finally full fat where you have to use high octane and get the best power results.

To toggle between each programme you have to be stationary, you cant do it whilst the engine is running.

Im going to keep mine on full fat unless I really need to fill up and can only get semi skimmed petrol haha.

Its the best thing I have ever bought for a car.

If you want to pm me I will give you my mobi for a chat, prob easier to explain.
