Hi everyone, I'm new in here. I got an issue with my 1998 golf mk4. I swapped 1.8 non turbo engine and fitted 2.0 aeg engine. The previous engine, 1.8 had a problem with inlet/intake manifold tuning valve open circuit code and it had tendency to raise reves on it's own and when I shut it down (key off) and try to start it won't. And I'll have to crank it for a long time before it comes to life but but with heavy rich petrol smoke. I didn't change loom and ecu. Now its like the 2.0 engine has inherited the problem. Is this possible.. thanks everyone an I hope you're gonna welcome me.

Hi, This is an EOS specific forum and although some engines are shared, you are better off asking on a Golf forum as there are plenty tuning and modding Golfs.
