Hi Slarti

Hope you don't mind me asking, but how long did it take from ordering to delivery?

Some of our international forum members have had to wait an agonisingly long time, but I'm trying to gauge what the average UK performance is. Ordered my car 3 weeks ago for a delivery date of 3rd November. (Birthday 5th Nov) :( :(

2 to 3 month delay in France

Hi
Ordered mine June 1st, supposed to get it earliest July 23rd, latest July 28th, about 2 months. Other dealers has given me delivery date in between mid-August to late October, but average delay seems around 3 month. The summer holiday period surely does not help optimizing delivery timelines. :)

I'm here

Unfortunately, the weather has been SOO bad the roof hasn't been down except for a 2 mile run up near Manchester last weekend! The sun is out now and I'm off out!

I was quoted 12 - 16 weeks delivery - quite a wait. It actually took around 12 weeks - the problem i had was little 91 day) notice of the car being available!

Still - here we go - topless in the sunshine!

Pick mine up on Friday 13th at 3pm. Am just polishing my shades to hide my cheesey grin. Any one recomend the gap insurance as the dealer keeps pushing it.

I've gone for the gap insurance but with my lender not through vw finance. Would reccommend with a new car of this value just incase the unthinkable happens and your new baby (mine's called Daisy!) comes to an untimely early end. Your insurance won't pay out enough to buy a brand new one as replacement.

I'm paying £8.25 per month for the duration of the finance.
