We had our first run out to the Cotswolds on Good Friday with the roof down all day (excellent)...wind deflector makes loads of difference.

However I still have on going problems and new ones arising daily.

To date I have had it in the garage for 4 days with a leaking roof which still is leaking so it is now waiting to have another seal replaced.

I cleaned it for the first time today and had spots of water coming through the drivers window.

I get a clonking noise from the rear passenger side when I go over a pot hole.

I have just been out in it this evening and a warning light came on saying "AFS in-operative" which apparently according to the manual means that the light that comes on to light the kerb when I turn corners is not working (I have xenons).

How big a price do I have to pay to have a convertible

That is normal to get a little water ingress

That seems to be normal for the Eos as well

That is not normal and sounds like the problem Gavster was having with his lights. Consider rejection if things are not put right soon!

I would just ignore the slight rattle.... It is a pain, but I tried to fix mine, but by adjusting it, it just stops that rattle and then something else starts to rattle!!! Im just ignoring mine. Don't want dealer to look as too much trial and error may cause other problems.....

Regarding the leak, if it is raining a lot, then you may get leaks at the top of the doors where the seals join together. When you open the car, as the window goes down, you will get water entering the gap as it rolls off the roof.

If you clean with a pressure washer, you will also get this leak. It is fairly normal for cars which don't have a window surround as part of the door...

10 months and 18K miles and no problems to speak of. Yes, if I go over bad RR tracks or hit a pot hole, I do get a clank...not a problem to me, just inherent to the complex mechanism that makes this convertible so attractive.

And, yes, if I hard spray the roof a few drops come in from the top of the window...again, not a problem to me...I have NEVER had any leaks during hard rain. After all, coming from a motorcycle...whats a few water drops through the window?

Sorry but I don't think many of the faults that are occuring are acceptable or normal.

We have owned cloth top convertables and I have spoken to several owners of the Vauxhall and Peugeot cc and they are not getting these problems. The Eos is in the top end of the market of cc's so I feel I definately shouldn't be getting these problems

I have always owned VW, but think they maybe rushed the Eos through and didn't get it designed 100% correct.
