I am intending to shortly start negotiations with Superchips regarding a group purchase of the Bluefin Device.

This device remaps your car's ECU to provide a higher BHP and Torque figure.

You can see the Bluefin Website by clicking here

The claimed outputs are as follows:

2.0T - 197 bhp / 280 nm Torque becomes 240 bhp / 334 nm Torque
2.0Tdi - 140 bhp / 320 nm Torque becomes 177 bhp / 395 nm Torque

I have seen many reviews written by satisfied customers and most seem to say that the above claimed figures are rather conservative and the actual gains are higher.

Superchips also offer a warranty that runs alongside your dealer / manufacturer warranty:

"In the unlikely event of bluefin being responsible for causing damage to your vehicle, Superchips will, under the terms and conditions of their warranty, repair your vehicle. The warranty is not intended to replace the existing manufacturer's warranty, but will supplement the cover to include the parts deemed to be excluded by the manufacturer. Contact Superchips for full terms and conditions."

If anybody is interested in purchasing such a device, please send me a private message or reply to this post. Once I have an idea of how many devices we would be purchasing, I'll contact Superchips for a price.

Cheers,

Well, the standard price is £599 but you would get 10% off just for mentioning the forum making the price £539.

If we are able to get a number of buyers, I would be looking to get the price around £500 each.

Although the Eos non turbo petrol is not listed on superchips website there are remaps available for that engine but the gain is only about 6 bhp :(

I've had experience of a diesel remapped (not by superchip). If you use the performance then your economy suffers. On the whole I did enjoy the performance upgrade and was prepared to accept the 4-5 mpg less economy.

e-map.co.uk do a re-map for around £300 depending how far you live from walsall. But unfortunately they do not do these engines at the moment, and they do not offer the same warranty as superchip. I suppose you get what you pay for.

Hi Angus,

I had REVO on my Leon Cupra R which was mapped to 270bhp. This barely had any effect on the fuel economy unless ragging it rotten.

Cheers,
