SO what's the general feeling? - having read all the good and bad things everyone says about the Eos, have I done the right thing in ordering one? Am I right to be soooooooooo excited about delivery of my first convertible, my seventh VW and, I think, one of the best looking cars around?????

No contest cib, you will love it - I still look forward to the drive to and from work each day after 18 months of being an EOS owner. As long as its not raining the roof is down! And I still love putting the roof up or down when I'm in the petrol garage or waiting for the wife in the supermarket carpark just to see the looks of amazement I (sorry the EOS) get.

I agree 100%. I love mine and really have had almost no trouble with it...a few curEOSities with it, but no trouble. The other night I put the top down on my way home from work but then at a traffic light realized that I was a bit chilled, so I put it up at the stoplight. I knew I had clearance behind me. I heard a screech and then laughter from the people in the car behind me and drew stares from the car next to me. It was quite amusing!

When you put the top down for the first time on a nice sunny day, all your worries will go away. :)

It will turn heads!!!

I use to have a EOS basic for about 8 months before I got military deployed for a year... When I came back I bought the Luxury version of the EOS and had it for the past 2 months, i cant wait for the summer to arrive so I can put the top down. I remember the feeling of my previous one and is amazing, youll love this car!!

Despite not having been in mine for 6 weeks, yesterday was a beautiful day and for an hour of just driving around aimlessly with the top down I nearly forgot all the trouble I'd had with mine!

It really is a beautful car and will draw lots of admiring (or jealous!) stares when you take her out.

You have definitely done the right thing! :D

What a reassuring lot of people you are - THANK YOU. Of course, now I am even more excited and impatient than I was before. Sigh! I hope I'll have it/her/??? before the the gathering in Berkshire in May.
