Well...

I had originally planned on buying a Passat, then decided that I fancied a convertible, so was going to buy an Audi A4. After lots of research on convertibles online I stumbled across the Eos. ( I had never heard of them before).

After deciding that I thought an Eos would be a great buy, I went to a garage to see one in the flesh so to speak, and that was it - I was in love!

I am now the proud owner of a 06 2.0 sport tdi 18" Chicago, black with black leather interior.

I absolutely love my car!!!!!!!!! Can't stress that enough :)

Now since buying it I have accumulated a good few miles already as I had to do alot of driving around England Wales on business, but its the best and most comfortable drive I've had.

I did however, notice an ocassional rattle from somewhere over on the passanger side, and the roof started to creak/grate a bit when closing (whilst showing my family its operation), but nonetheless its fantastic.

As yet no problems with any leakage though.

I have it booked into a VW dealer to have those things checked out next week ,but regardless its the best car I have ever bought and I wouldn't be without it now.

Well done to VW and their engineers for this fantastic creation!

Welcome to the club. I think what you are experiencing is the joy of Eos ownership and you will come to accept its little problems regarding creaks etc. They soon don't seem to matter so much when the sun is shining and the roof is stowed in boot. Its what owning a "secure" convertable is all about.

Enjoy!

...and it seems that for everything else, there's Krytox.
(As a new owner, check out the many threads here on lubricating all the seals with Krytox)

I have looked at some of the threads on Krytox as you have suggested and so I'll see if I can get some from the garage next week.

They'll be able to show me how and where to use it properly too :)

Hi Phillbilly,

Thanks for the post.

Well I went to the garage yesterday. The creaking with the roof was actually being caused by one of the rubber 'things' (sorry don't know the technical term), not clearing the sunroof glass properly so they adjusted it and now no more creaking.

As for the noise from the passenger side, well it didn't happen when I was out with the technician so couldn't identify that but its not a problem really as its only on ocassion anyway.

They also adjusted the drivers window as it was not fully clearing the rubber seal on opening and apparently did a software update too.

Anyway, all this was done under warranty so I'm a happy bunny now :)

Obivously, before leaving the garage I had to test the roof out to see that they had corrected it properly and it really turns head during operation :))

Good luck with your new purchase - which did you get?

Welcome, Welcome!

Nice to see another girlie enjoying her Eos, I'm still loving mine (despite a few hiccups).

Where abouts are you? Just curious for when another 'meet' is organised :)

Hi,

Well I move about between Southern Ireland, Birmingham UK, in the midlands and Reading in the south east :)
