Hi there

Just thought I would say hello. I have an EOS on order:

2.0TDI
Lux Pack
Winter Pack
17" Alloys
Aux In
Black

Apparently the build date was week 23 which was the start of June.

Interesting to see that the 2009 model was released around this time, so will be interested to see if I get the updated engine and stereo and stuff - although as I ordered from the 2008 spec I suspect I will get the old stuff.

Either way - I can't wait. Apparently the car has to travel from Portugal to Germany (for quality checks) and then over to the UK and then to my dealer.

So fingers crossed for roof top motoring this month!!!

Hello again

Just got an email from the salesman at my VW dealer:

"Just a quick email to let you know that your vehicle is now showing that it’s in the port waiting to be shipped over. All going well your vehicle should be here within the next fortnight."

Very exciting - unfortunately I can't make the Chatsworth meet, as I am all over the place that weekend, but I will deffo try to get to the next one - also I should actually have an EOS by the next one - I would feel bad in a Focus :)

Congrats! I hope you do get the 2009 build, though, because the common-rail engine is a significant improvement over the old unit. I could have had an Eos to my exact spec within 3 days, but it was the old model, so I bit the bullet and will now have to wait until late July. I think it will be worth it, however.

Congrats. I hope you have as much fun as I 9mine one month old). I guess I never realized how easy it is for soemthings in USA, like purchasing a car. No shipping. I picked it out on the lot within 20 miles where I live. Gotta be harder to order and WAIT.

Well the day has arrived and I collected my new EOS this morning. After all the speculation, and more by luck than judgement I have got the 2009 spec. Having no experience of the 2008 spec (appart from the test drive) all I can tell you is that is has the new common rail engine and the standard stereo is now the 310 with the animated reverse parking display. I think all of the other changes were minor cosmetics.

Couldn't be happier - now all I need is some sunshine :)

I have posted some piccies in the photos section

Don't worry about the sunshine Tony. Wind deflector in, bug catcher up (if the 2009 spec has it) bum warmers on and all systems go. Will expect to see you at the next Midlands meet.
