Hi everyone. I am a new Eos owner from the Atlanta area. My previous car was a Pontiac G6 convertible, but it had no usable trunk space with the top down, and was nowhere near as fun to drive as the Eos.

Over the past 15 years, I have owned 6 convertibles and so far, this one is as much fun as the two Miata's I owned.

Welcome to our happy little group. Now you know why we are all here. The G6is kind of a wasted effort. Hope you enoy your Eos as much as the rest of us enjoy ours.

I never heard of the Eos until I went to the Auto Show in Seattle in Nov '07 where I saw the '08 Eos and the G6. The G6 impressed me, but not nearly as much as the Eos did (the Eos just seemed more refined with the top up or down). Still, the G6 was about 3 or 4 thousand less. And yes, the trunk space with the top down was certainly a factor.

Then, a couple of days later I dropped in to see my local VW dealer for a test drive and I was SMITTEN from the first moment the car moved. A couple of days later, my pride and joy 1995 FireEngine Red Mustang GT convertible was sitting on my dealers lot as I waved goodbye and headed down the highway with my new Eos Lux.

Fourteen months later the only regret I have is that I didn't try to sell the Mustang myself as I think I might have received 3-4 thousand more out of it, but you have to understand that I HAD to have the Eos immediately and trading in the Mustang made the deal work for me.

I'm only putting around 6,000 miles annually on the Eos so I figure I will own it at least as long as I owned the Mustang (13 years hopefully).:)

I stumbled onto the Eos at an auto show also a few years ago. It was the at the same time we saw the G6 too. While we really liked the Eos, I was swayed by the price of the G6, especially since my son in law works for GM. We wound up getting the G6 which stickered for $32K, for a little over $27k. In the end, we realized there was more than price involved. I think having the G6 made us appreciate the Eos even more, and by getting a 2009, a lot of the new car bugs have been worked out.
