I picked up my Eos about a month ago....

Though I have only 1 post, I do read this board, so thought I would throw my intro out there.

Thanks to all who do post. This site was one I stumbled onto while researching my purchase. It helped in making the final decision.

I know someone will say "Pictures please", so I went out today and took a couple of shots, just for you!

I went from a 2006 Passat. I'm getting used to the change to DSG transmission. I had a fun moment with my salesman as I showed him how the DSG will roll a bit on a steep incline. Scared him a bit, but I knew from reading posts that would happen ;)

The only thing I really miss about the Passat is the internal storage space. The Passat has a bunch of bins, drawers and compartments to store anything you may need while driving. Of course, this also meant there was more space to store trash, so the Eos is keeping me neat and tidy.

Hi and welcome to the forum. Hope you are enjoying your new Eos. We envy you. Winter in the midwest here requires us to drive with the top up. BTW where are the pix taken?

Hi, welcome, from another newbie. I pick up my Eos this Saturday (only 6 days to go!) and, like you, am moving from a Passat (which I have really enjoyed). I agree this site is really helpful and I've enjoyed reading about others' experiences. Where else would you learn about Krytox, anyway!!!

Nice pics and welcome to the forum. As for additional storage you could get the under seat drawers assuming you did not get the electric seat option.
Keep posting!

cb391 - The pictures were taken in Point Loma, overlooking the Pacific Ocean. It took a bit of waiting for others in the parking area to get bored of the vista and leave, giving me enough space to get some pics. I was actually trying to get in front of an old lighthouse on the point, but it's been years since I've been there, and they have blocked access to the light house to cars. Great place to take a stroll and hike.

GOgg - The lux package here in the US have the automatic seats, so the under seat storage won't work. I actually looked into those while making my decision.

One reason I like this board is it's international nature....

That means my inept description in my signature doesn't mean much except to those of us in North America....my bad!

Eismer Blue, iPod Adaptor, Black Leather, 2.0, heated seats, climatronic, rain sensing wipers, auto-dimming mirror, 17" wheels, power front seats.

From the Leather on, that is the 'standard' lux package equipment that differs from normal packages. I may have missed something, but I think I got the 'biggies'.

One thing I was surprised about is how much I enjoy the auto-dimming rear view mirrors. Truly a technology that should be in every car.

hello from NZ

Hi,

I pick my 3.2 up on Friday - 2 days from now. Its white with black and tan upholstery. We are leaving our summer but can't wait to at least get a couple of months driving with the top down. Looked at many other types of convertibles but none up to the specs of this car. The comments all seem so positive from this forum and thanks for the tip about washing it locked.:D

Hi and welcome to the club. The 2 days will seem like an eternity but hang in there the wait just enhances the pleasure when you pick it up.
