Hi Jason,
Bet your roof gets lots of action over there. Up and down all the time. Can't even imagine the tax that the government charges for your car.

Anyway enjoy.
best car I've had in a long time.

oh yes, i go topless like min 6 times a week, but the weather's getting crazy with many thunderstorms.

The taxes here are crazy, we paid like S$148,000 for a VW EOS! Road tax has been reduced but its like S$1,300 annually. Prob u guys never heard of the Electronic Road Pricing (ERP) Gantries, my daily commuting amounts to S$200++ a month. There are like 92 gantries around the island now :D

Welcome to the club. I think you are the first member from Singapore.
You may only get 1 option on the model but from what you say the combination of engine and gearbox is probably the best anyway.
Drive and enjoy and post some pics with some scenery in the background.

cheers

Welcome Jason, think your ERP Gantries probably equate to toll roads, wish you hadn't mentioned it on the site as now if will probably get back to our government and they will find yet another excuse to tax us on something to do with cars!, tho we do have 1 toll road that doesn't seem to get mentioned much nowadays, so don't know how successful that has been for them. Expect someone on the site will know

Wow thats £54,000. Prices in the UK start at £20,000 for a 1.4 up to £30,000 for a 3.2 V6. Annual road tax ranges from £145.00 for a diesel to £220 for a top petrol model. Petrol is now £1.19/litre and diesel is £1.31/litre. And we think we have it bad.
We have one toll road which is now £3.50 for a car for any part of the toll. I have been to Singapore and I knew that tha government seem to try to prices cars off the road. At least Taxis and MRT(Underground) are cheap.

Enjoy,(mind the showers)

Petrol is S$2.21 or so now, dropped 4 cents last week and 3 cents this week.

Sg's gonna be full of MRT tunnels soon, in the future, I guess everywhere we walked, there's some tunnel down where our feet are hahaha

The taxis are not so cheap now, given the booking fee, prime hours charge and erp charges, I traveled to work occasionally via taxis and 18km costs me like S$28+ :D

I guess its a huge success, cant imagine the amount of revenue my side gets hahaha if one works in town, the average ERP charges he might incur is prob S$300++ monthly, I passed by 5 ERP gantries from Mon - Fri, my monthly bill's around S$200+

Jason having been to SG many times i know how expensive cars/driving can be and its great to see something other than a merc or BMW on the road over there (all i saw last time). But on the good side you will have the weather for a convertable :) I can just imagine taking it over the bridge with the roof down to Sentosa !

Hi Jason

Greetings from singapore too. Been thinking of getting an Eos. How's the ride so far? What colour's yours? Haven't seen any on the roads yet.
Bro, you need to be ina EOS to see more EOS on the road:p . No regrets, go for it. You get the power, fun and the coolness that the other CC will not give you. When the weather is good, topless here I come and have been raining so often this few weeks and I have my full size roof open without fear of getting caught when it pour.:D
