I am so pleased to be a new eos owner. When i say new i really mean new cos this car was only officially launched in Malaysia on 11 April 2008. The coincidence was amazing as i was supposed to put a deposit on the mini cooper the very same day. And when i saw the article on the eos it was love at first sight. The rest is history....:)

Check out this link and you will understand why i was bowled over...:D

And thank you all for the wonderful tips and information i picked up from the various threads.

Welcome to the site Kriskros. I'm not suprised your bowled over; with the amount of 'standard' stuff that comes with the EOS in your part of the world as compared to ours (reading the article). Hope you enjoy your EOS as much as we all do.

All those extras are nice but have you seen the price!
250,000MR at the current exchange rates is about 80,000AUD or 77,000USD or 39,000GBP.
Ouch!

Unfortunately imported cars are very expensive here cos of the duty. This puts the EOS in the same price range as the locally assembled BMW 320 or the Mercedes C200. And the Mini Cooper S is marginally cheaper at RM235k.

I bought the car without test driving it but I figured with so many proud EOS owners singing such high praises i couldn't possibly go wrong. This forum certainly helped and everyone here is so warm and supportive AND I HAVE NO REGRETS.

VW only brought in about 20 units with 2 being used as demo units. I got the last available candy white one. But every colour is just so special.

I love driving it :D

Finally took delivery of my Eos on Saturday - bloody tight VW didn't top up the petrol tank though and I had a mad dash off the motorway to get some before I conked out on the way home (a 40 mile journey)!. The weather was glorious this weekend and I have sunburnt shoulders to prove it!! lol

Must say I love my Eos, it turns people's heads all the time which is ace! Hasn't got as many gizmos as some others or as I would wish (no ipod dock, no electric folding mirrors, no multi-function steering wheel) but I guess you get what you pay for and as long as it doesn't leak from the roof, that's fine with me!! (Focus CC3 leaked hence why I "lumped" for the Eos - if only I'd actually thought what I was doing in December when I bought the Focus I would never have done it!!)
