I just bought the RNS 510 navigation system and I noticed that I cannot watch TV. I was searching the net and found that I will need a TV-tuner. Is this the true?Where can I purchase it?
And one more question.When I am watching a DVD movie, the picture stops when I am driving.Is there a tool to remove this security issue?

You want to watch a DVD whilst driving?
Don't think that's allowed anywhere and the law here certainly states that the DVD can't play whilst the car is moving if it can be seen by the driver. Only DVD players in the rear can work whilst on the move (apart from portable ones).

There are 3 passenger seats in the car and 1 driving seat.Is it forbiden for the passengers to watch TV or DVD while I'm driving??

If it can be seen by the driver - then it's distracting.
You know how it is in a room when the TV's on - people stare at it whether they're watching it or not or whether they're talking to other people or not.

Heaven help us if people watch TV whilst they're driving around!

A Portuguese lorry driver was jailed here 3 or 4 weeks ago for killing 6 people whilst watching a DVD player in his cab.
He didn't notice the line of traffic had stopped...

If you absolutely promise to wear blinkers when you are driving, and put a cowl around the screen so you can't see it anyway, you could try looking for an earth wire attached to the hand brake, and earthing it somewhere else.

I can't speak for the RNS 510, but my AVC9000 works that way.

I'm sure if you had had someone killed by a driver being distracted by a dvd then you may think twice about installing something that can be viewed other than by the passengers in the back seats only.

I don't watch mine when I drive, but I have a number of music DVD's that I am quite partial to listening to.

If I play one of the these I put the screen on GPS to mimimise the visual distraction, and to make it legal if Mr Plod passes me.
