I have a VW 2009 EOS. Bought for $11,000 and spent over $20,000 on repairs over the past 5 years.
But I digress.
Here is the current situation.

No Bend light warning lamp on . .sorry VW . .not spending $1500 to fix.. .can live with this.

Fault in the exhaust system lamp just came on.

Auto transmission not kicking out of second gear or going into reverse.

Any clues anyone . . .aside from selling this lemon for scrap?

With all the money spent so far, buying a decent V.W compatible scanner would have paid for itself and saved a lot of moans. Even if it was just used to shadow faults and work done well or badly by others?

Good day,
If you were in the USA, I'd loan you my new OBD eleven diagnostic scanner. It has helped me pinpoint several problems for the US$100 invested.

But, your problems (the car!) do sound very complex. Transmission stuck, lights, exhaust...ugh...Let us know what you learn.

Leave it with the driver's window down and the keys in it in a location where it has a good chance to me stolen. Then get the insurance money.
