Hi all. Sorry not been around lately, been working very hard!
Got a major problem though, can anyone help?

I am away from home, with only one key fob and yes you guessed it, its got locked in the boot! We have had green flag out to the car and they cant get into it (very reassuring under different circumstances!)

Does anyone have any suggestions?

Thanks, Trish

Forget about the Fob. With the nutszy key that VW has, I would think it would be almost impossible to pick the lock. If VW can't help in a timely manner, I would have to strongly consider breaking a rear window, reaching in and opening a front door and then tapping on the button that opens the trunk.

I carry the valet key in my wallet for this kind of situation. I wish the valet key were not so wide, but it is what it is. At least it doesn't have a Fob on it.

Based on what I've paid for other windows in cars, I wouldn't think the rear window would cost more than $250. In terms of labor, perhaps a front side window would be cheaper to work on replacing.

Good luck and let us know how you solved the problem.

PS If you don't want to carry the valet key, wiring it somewhere on the undercarriage might be a good idea.
Valet key...

I bought my Eos in the US. I assume VW give the valet key with any Eos purchased world-wide, but perhaps they don't. As you can see, it's quite a bit shorter and also narrower, so its not a big chore to carry it in my wallet. Hope I never have to use it, but its nice to have if my main key gets locked in the car or just left somewhere.

Ours aren't like that we just get 2 of the ones on the left :)

I got 2 of the normal keys PLUS the valet key.
