Where? North Warwickshire. I have had my EOS for about 5 weeks now and I love it. Its an 07 model and great fun to drive (but I guess you all know that). I have noticed that my front tyres are going to need replacing soon, at the moment they're Dunlop Sport SP 07 s'. Anyone got any thoughts on what I should go for? I'm after everything grippy and a bit of longevity would be nice. I notice that the Dunlop Sportmax seem to be about £60 cheaper than Michelin Pilot Sports, is there much difference in performance?
Thanks for any advice

Hello and welcome.
Mine came new with Bridgestones and I replaced the 2 fronts with similar ones. However, I thought they wore about a bit fast (not only down to my driving style!) so I have replaced all 4 with Continental Sports. Will be interesting to see how long they last, but performance-wise they're good. Hoping for more than the 13000 miles I got out of the front Bridgestones.

How many miles have the Dunlops done?

10K so far. I can probably get another 3-4K out of them but that seems low to me.

I would have thought they will last you at least another 10K miles Steph so you won't need to raid the piggy-bank just yet!

We have been down this road before. I just checked my owner's manual again and it is recommended that the tires be rotated every 10,000 miles (16km) from front to rear on each side. This will help balance the wear and extend the life of the tires. Also it was mentioned that not doing so could cause the TPMS system to trigger a warning as that system in your part of the world uses sensors that are dependent on the wheel speed. Here in the US we use pressure sensors for our sensors. If your tires use a softer compound that wears faster, tire rotations may need to be closer spaced. Because our US Eos has a 10,000 period between maintenances our tire rotations become just part of the package. I have 20,000 miles on my Michelins and wear looks good. I have another vehicle that has gone 35,000 miles on the current tires with rotations every 6,000 miles and the tires look almost new. Admittedly I've tried to drive with a lighter foot. Money is tight and trying to stretch out how long things last.

Just changed my front tyres at 10.3k miles. They were down to 3mm tread and with winter ahead I thought it prudent. But then I tend to have a lot of traction problems (heavy right foot).
