Hi, I'm in Dallas and bought my silver '08 Eos a few months ago. It is crazy how much I love driving it

I use my trunk for *every*thing, and I'm looking for a liner. The dealership wants far too much $$ for it, though. Has anyone had any luck finding one that isn't too expensive?

I also would like some mud flaps -- same question. Any links or suggestions from people getting them other than from the dealership?

Thanks in advance,

Morty

Hi Morty,

Welcome to the forum - we always welcome people who have good taste in Automobiles.

I'm in Australia and therefore can't really give you a pointer as to a good supplier in Texas.

It would be a good idea to ask the same question on the US West Coast part of the forum, as some of the members in your part of the world may watch that more than the new members bit.

I agree with you though, it is amazing how much you can fit under that little protective cover (but I am told that being able to pack a boot is a bloke thing - any of the ladies on the forum are welcome to challenge this)

Does Weathertech make the trunk liner for the Eos? We've got their floor mats for our Honda Odyssey and they're awesome. Only mud flaps I've seen are from VW, though.

Trunk liner, etc.

Geoff,

Thanks! I will do that. Still finding my way around these boards. . .

LOL! Due to my board name, I just realized that you think I'm a boy

I've been a coupe girl my entire life, and I refuse to twist my back/neck around to the back seat and fish for my purse, and when things fall down behind the seats, I usually don't find them until I sell the car. (that, and I've been known to forget things sitting back there, ripe for theft) I also don't like the idea of things flying around if I should hit my brakes too hard.

Maybe on a subconscious level I am a boy? ;)

That little trunk of the EOS is fantastic for my groceries, because they don't fall around everywhere like they did in my other cars. It stays nice and contained in that little boxed area. I also spend three overnights a week away from home due to my work, so I'm always schlepping my overnight bag, cosmetics bag, computer, and work bag in that little area, again -- nicely stacked inside, not rolling back to the dark recesses of the typical trunk.

Geoff, my board name is the name of my EOS (although I know that cars are typically girls). Did you name your EOS?

Thanks! I looked online, and they are only doing floor mats for the EOS, but it's a start. . .I'll keep looking.

If you end up deciding to get VW trunk liner and mud flaps, you may be able to save a few bucks getting the parts online, instead of buying them from your local VW dealer. Check shipping, naturally. 1stVWParts.com discounts OEM VW parts, and carries the trunk liner ($87) and the mud flaps ($44 per set). I bought more expensive mud flaps ($49/set) from ECSTuning.com, but only because I was buying a bunch of other stuff to factor into shipping.

The VW mud flaps are nice, and fit great. Definitely helps to keep road crap off the rocker panels. It's definitely easier to pull the wheels off to install them, and IIRC there some Torx screws. If you do a search some members have posted pictures of the mud flaps installed.

Good luck -

Doug
