Cool!

I'm looking to buy a classic camper - but I was a little surprised to see the style I want is more expensive than the EOS!!!

The Old Bar Beach Festival each year has a world record attempt for the most number of Kombis assembled in one place - so far we haven't broken the record; 205 is the most so far and the number increases each year as the news spreads. The furthest traveller last year came right across the continent from Western Australia.

These are classics and their price reflects this - I also believe the Eos will achieve a similar status in 15 to 20 years time in a similar manner to the first Mazda MX5/Miata model.

Some of the more memorable visitors are as below:

My Choice.

A Classic Split Screen Restoration + Surfboard of course.

An affordable Kombi.

A Surfer's Dream in progress.

As the kids say OMG.

Lovely looking camper.

I had a camper for years and years and I miss her powder blue beatifulness. I went to a T4 for safety when we had our first child and bought a V class last year for the leather and air con comfort. Not quite as big, just about get my new longboard in (lucky) but to get similar spec and age on a T4 costs an arm, a leg and another apendage. Almost double what I paid for the Merc. So we keep the Eos for posing and the Merc for most family stuff. Although of late my wife's been away so much I've barely seen the Eos anyway.
I miss them both.
love the Grey with Red interior too.

When i was a youngster back in the 70's my dad had a (on the side) business of renting out VW camper vans. Dad and his neighbour had one each and they rented them out with or without portable tv's! Obviously you paid extra for one with a TV.

I'm now also going through a midlife crisis (looking at Eos's). Looking at your VW camper van and Eos has made me extremely jealous - it would be our perfect car set up! Hubby would also love VW camper!

Good luck with your camping, crisis and posing in the Eos!
