Hopefully buying 2006 2.0 tfsi Eos tomorrow...
Hi all,
I am seriously considering an Eos I have found. Its from a VW dealer - Silver Registered July 2006, 2.0 tfsi, 17" westwoods, black leather, manual, multifunction sterring wheel, 36k on the clock and one owner for 13,995.
I am a little concerned as I hear on the forum and some other sites that in the cars 1st year it suffered from leaks and other issues.
Are there any checks/tests I can do. What should I be looking out for?
I am going to take a look at it tomrrow and if all is well, put a deposit down.
There is also one (also VW dealer) that is April 2007 2.0 tfsi, Silver cloth interior, 17" alloys, DSG, auto, 11k on the clock, £13,998
Which one would you guys sway towards?

They quoted me £160, so im good to go. Im just thinking of whether I really need it or not....surely I could spend the money better elsewhere!There is actually a VW-produced leaflet I picked up from a rack at my Dealer, of official Eos accessories. Included was the CC at £150. Ask for one!
Whether you need it not not is irrelvant Stoddy1980 - you want it and its really great to have - life's a lot shorter than you think, have what you want now and enjoy it.

Gary, you almost got me spending there! I should open a thread asking people how often they use their cruise control in the UK. I drove back up to Yorkshire from Kent on the M11 and A1 in the early evening a couple of months ago and had it on CC probably 90 pct of the time. As I said before: best £150 I ever spent!

Had my service and CC fitted yesterday - paid 170 for the CC and used a dealer (Wayside) in Milton Keynes in the end. Tried to use my local Keiths but I rang them three times in total to query the CC charge and was told 3 times they would get back to me, no one ever has ! so I went else where - shame as I am a firm believer in supporting local business's otherwise you lose them.
I cannot fault Wayside they were extremely customer focused with email confirmations and text reminders, the car was ready for when I asked it to be and it was all valeted.
Just need to play with the CC now !
