Aloha All,
Finally got my stereo fixed. Dealer was great! Replaced the console dock and all is working. Dealer also had the car washed prior to pick-up. Caution, seems the dock is very fragile. If your I-Pod fails, it is most likely the dock.

In what way did it fail? Was it not working at all? My ipod keeps skipping to the next track then the next.... as though it's not registering.

Btw my new iphone doesn't fit in the dock either!

Aloha Scooby Doo,

Complete failure. No power up, stereo did not see I-Pod. The dock has it's own circuit board before it even sends the signal to the stereo. Apparantly, the circuit board was defective or shorted out.
It is not a very good system as far as the I-pod goes. It does not display play lists, song titles etc. Only 1-6 on the screen. You need to remember in your head what the 6 play lists are. At least you still get to listen to your I-Pod.
Heard the 2009 stereo is much better.
