Hello all,

Thanks for letting me join.

I have been watching this site since I ordered my Eos in February. I was told it was to be delivered in July, but I got a call today to say it will be coming next Thursday. I've been sooo excited all day. I can't wait.

At the same time, I have to admit I have never had a convertible, never mind a CC, but I just fell in love with the Eos. It's been great reading your threads, as you all seem to love your cars.

I would really appreciate any advice, suggestions etc from you experienced Eos owners. Being older, but yet never having had a car without a solid roof, I do feel as though I could let you all down!

Welcome to our small and elite little band.Dont worry about letting us down, the hat idea is great followed by some shades.

The only way you wil let is down is by the following.

1. Not grinning when driving your EOS.
2. Not driving with the roof down when it isnt raining.
3. Please Please Please no Frankie Vaughan.

Apart from that enjoy it, you really wont regret buying such a cool car.

Thanks for the welcome, and the advice.

(They'll certainly be no Frankie!!!!)

I'm hoping this lovely weather lasts till at least Thursday so I can show off my new baby. If it has half as much attention as the one I took for the test drive, then I shall be a happy bunny. :)

Am kinda hoping mine doesn't enjoy that much attention so i don't worry so much when it's left in some not so nice areas. My Focus ST stands out like a sore thumb, despite being in blue not the electric orange and am hoping a black Eos will look classy but not stand out so much!

By the way, looks like i was VERY lucky with the lead time - happened to snatch a car in almost exact spec i wanted that had just arrived. If Friday collection is confirmed will have been 8 days lead time!

Only thing not too happy about is reading on here that 09 model upgrades effective from late this month!

Well, that's just life unfortunately. My Golf Plus will have hill-start so I'll miss that on the EOS, but hey you'll be driving an EOS :D

Welcome to the club (so to speak) Jaydee just enjoy being one of our elite band.
Sunscreemer I see your in the East Midlands (where abouts) as are we. Are you joining us at our first East Midlands 'meet' at Chatsworth on the 22nd June 11am onwards? (See EOS MEET 2008 thread) Bring a picnic if the weather is fine as I think the plan is to eat about 12 after walking round kicking each other's tyres etc!!!

Thanks all! Only two days to go......

I'm getting a paprika red 2.0TDi Sport, with Cornsilk leather. (I had my hair colour changed on Saturday so I wouldn't clash!!) I've yet to see a red one on the road, so as I will lobviously stick out, I shall assure you all I will be smiling. But hey, it doesn't sound hard:D

I'm kinda Midlands too - between Banbury and Northampton, so does that include me Skidoo?

Hi All, just joined myself. Some great comments but i'm afraid to say that I had trouble last summer with leaks and condensation. Resulted in the car being in the dealers for the whole 2 weeks of my summer hols. All seems fine now and VW gave me the first 2 services free for the inconvenience. Fantastic car though and puts other CC's to shame.

Couldnt agree more! The weather has been fantastic this last week or so but having the roof down all the time sure makes the inside of my car dusty! Will have to make sure she is 'minted' up for the 22nd! Looking forward to it too and it looks like we could get a real good turn out. (Sorry Steph we will miss you!)
