Hi all,

I'm keen to get an Eos. Thinking of the 155TSI or 147TSI.

I'd appreciate any tips or advice on things I need to look out for (major services / recall periods / checking if maintenance has been done on seals and mechanisms), or questions I should be asking (other than the usual 'has it been garaged'; 'has it a service history'; 'how many owners'; 'any crashes').

What should I look out for? What should I listen out for when I test drive?

This is a great forum and I've already learned a lot thanks to the excellent contributions from members.

I've been looking at carsales for about 6 months now. Keen to purchase soon and don't want to spend more than $15k.

Next to normal automotive things, you should take a look ar the seals of the roof. They should be soft, supple and looking black, not grayish and hard. Tell thay you want to take the car to a car wash and see for any water leaks. Take a look in the trunk, below the storage, where the spare is; there is a roof motor there in some kind of wrapping. It should be bone dry there (it is the lowest point so water runs down there and may destroy the roof motor).
