IT'S FINALLY HERE!!!!! Sorry must stop shouting!! Delivered this morning - just my luck, after 2 months of almost unbroken sunshine and unseasonal warmth, my Eos gets delivered to my home, in between sharp thunderstorms and strong winds!! Haven't had the top down yet for that reason, but itching to get out there and play!!! It looks fantastic in grey, the only one I have seen in the flesh is my own so it was a bit of a gamble, and drives as well as I remember [I mean, one 20 minute drive in January can only carry you so far when you're 'visualising' what it will really be like!!]

Once the weather is suitable and the car is squeaky clean I will post some pictures! In the meantime I can now go to that survey and proudly put a cross in the 'Owner' column!!

Happy EDA's

Paul,

Great to hear you are at last an owner and can appreciate what we have been raving about here for months. I'm sure you will love all the EDAs.

Cheers

A MACKEM!!! We're all doomed!!!! Andrew, isn't there some security on this site???

Seriously, congratulations on promotion and you're right to pick up the 'smoggy' tag, 30 years of living in the 'soft south' but born and bred in Middlesbrough/Redcar. Tee shirts in winter, no problem!!!!

I'm going to really enjoy going to work tomorrow, but I can't wait to get that roof down and have a proper topless drive!!!

"Tee shirt in winter" its warmer during your winter (in the soft south) than a good old North East summer, enjoy your drive to work tomorrow.

I have to agree with you there - they don't know they're born!!! My sister was down visiting 2 weeks ago and as they were leaving and we said 'don't leave it so long before coming down again' they turned around and said 'we won't, this is the Riviera!!'

You're going to love it, out and about today down to scotch corner, top down all the way there and back, a little bit blustery but what the **** didn't buy a drop top to drive with it up unless I have to.

Paul - nope!! Gusty and wet, very autumnal actually. We've got a log fire on right now and its blowing strongly outside - just my luck!!!! I believe we're in for a few days of heavy rain now [well, good for the garden] but from early next week the rest of May will be warm and dry and my top will be down every day!!! CaliKid - its a bit different over here, but when its good, its very good indeed!

[Still tee shirt weather though!]

Hi Smoggy, Congratulations on the long wait.
I really hope you enjoy it and let me know how the mpg goes. I`m still having trouble and having done 5,000 miles now I`m only getting 36 to the gallon now.Really getting pissed off now because it`s a lovely car but no-one wants to know about the problem.I will phone vw within the next two weeks and see what can be done...... perhaps time I thought about something else as this is really doing my head in now.
Sorry to go on, but enoughs enough now. By the way fantastic driving when the sun`s out Paul!!!!

EOS owners unite !

What a response to another new owner taking delivery of their new EOS, this car must be something special for so many people to shout about it. Makes me proud to be an owner too. Thanks for the feel good factor you lot.

Der, you are absolutely right! Thanks for all the comments everyone, every time I get into the car it feels great! To anyone waiting, I hope this and other threads on 'waiters becoming owners' gives you a glimpse of why the wait is worth it!!!! And why this forum is worth visiting!!!
