This is the 2nd time now my battery is completely dead!

I bought it the Friday before last, then drove it to a camp where I spent an entire week at the camp. I drove it every day just fine, and the battery did just great.

This last Sunday I drove the car 3hrs from camp straight home. Next morning I woke up and my battery was dead. No lights are on, nothing is on...I've searched and searched and searched and can't find anything on. The only thing I can think of is that the auto-sensing wiper lever is one notch up, but that souldn't be engaged while the power is off, right?

I have a fully upgraded Eos Lux. I have 4 CDs in my 6 CD changer. Of course I always keep the Navigation DVD in the slot. My car lights are set to "Auto". I charged the battery overnight with a car charger. My dad tried moving my today and it was dead again. It doesn't even have enough juice to lift the windows back under the rubber, so if it rains, it will get wet inside.

Any tips? Any suggestions?

P.S. Other than this, my Eos has been an amazing car! It's like a chick magnet!! haha.

never heard of this one before... take it to the dealer. they have a computer program that reads any codes that have been thrown by the cars computer. either that or buy a new Optima battery.

Some members have had battery problems with the 3.2 V6 and the batteries going dead when left standing for just a short time.
There was a problem a while ago with the sat nav draining the battery. In this case the solution seemed to be replace the sat nav.

Either way it shouldn't happen so see your dealer, it's got a warrantee after all so use it.

Good luck, keep us posted of what they find.

Hi,

Get the dealer to test the Sat Nav unit. Mine was replaced as even with the ignition off, it was consuming a small amount of current, enough to drain the battery after a few days.
