Sorry to hear that. I picked up a nail in my Toyota last weekend. At least the EOS has a spacesaver spare, many cars these days just give you a can of sealant which is useless if your tyre is significantly damaged.

Know how you feel!
Got a huge screw in one of the EOS's rear tyres after I arrived home from a 1000 km driving holiday in it 2 weeks ago.
Pulled the screw out and still managed to have dinner and drive home before it deflated to the point that something had to be done about it.
Fortunately I have a tubeless tyre repair kit for my 4WD and had it fixed in about 30 minutes.

Hey Stephb...the beemers use "runflats."
I got em on my 3 series. Great invention, & the cars capable of monitoring the pressure on your 4 tyres to see if they start losing pressure too.
I think the deal is, if I drove over a nail or screw, they retain enough pressure to allow me to continue driving for quite a way before I have to get it looked at.
But...if I drove over something horrid & shredded the tyre...and theres no spare..at all...of any description...then what?!

Great invention, but not that great

Uh huh -- paprika red appears to be a scratch magnet -- very sad. It is so hard to say -- "oh well, it's just a car" -- when it is still so new. (not quite 3 weeks old.)
At least you are driving it Roberta ..... my sons and daughter are enjoying mine immensely, at least now I can see it in the driveway ... glad to be home for Christmas with all my kids and grandkids, and maybe I'll get to sit in it in January! If not, still glad to be home!

Hi Fred! Yes, driving it and loving it. Well, let's just say, it's a bit more fun to get where I need to go. It is, afterall, just a car. Your recent posts sound hopeful -- health issues put EVERYTHING else second, for sure. But, it does sound like it won't be too long before your kids are going to have to give you back your Eos! Hoping 2008 brings you all good things. Roberta
