Hi All, Can anyone recommend a good leather treatment that can clean, shine, buff and provide UV protection from the scorching Aussie sun?

Here in the States, Leather in a Bottle by Zaino has a good reputation.
It's what I use. Has a nice leather smell, doesn't leave your seats, steering wheel, etc., with a phoney slippery and shiney look and just does what it's supposed to. And our Southern California sun can get quite intense, often times with humidity in the single digits.
It is quite expensive, but a little goes a long way and it really lasts.
Just my two cents.
Not connected with Zaino Bros. in any way and Happy New Year to all. :)

On my husbands Jaguar forum, everybody is singing the praises of Johnsons Baby wipes with Aloe, apparently it keeps the leather really supple and is sent free. If it's good for babies bums then its got to be good for seat Leather.
Hubby has brought 2 packs and will be trying it out next time he valets the interior of his XJ.

Thanks heaps, in the meantime I have found a local product that supposedly offers high UV protection, however the Blackfire High UV product that you allude to sounds great and it looks like it is available at local stockists so I am going to give it a try.

Hi John

I purchased this on line from http://www.leathercare.com.au/
They are based in Melbourne, they were fast in delivery and from memory I think it cost $31.00 plus freight. I puchased the 'Automotive Kit'.

Now all I have to do is apply it!

Hi Stephb,

Thanks for the info, pardon my ignorance but what is a "local pound shop"?
The dealer did offer an after market solution but it was overpriced as most are.

a pound shop is where everything is a pound you might have it as a dollar shop or something like that bargain basment? cheap shop lol, or if you go into the supermarket and go into the cleaning aisle there will be things to protect your household leather sofas they are just as good :)

Hi Steph,

Glad you enjoyed Egypt, what bit you? And yes I got my leather protection sorted thanks. I managed to find a leather care product with UV protection that is made in Melbourne. All I have to do is to apply it now!
