Well, it's a gloomy day here in NY. Unable to go to the beach, I decided to go visit one of the local VW dealers again to get some new info on the '08s. To my dismay, the '07 Island Grey 3.2L sport that I test drove in May is still on the lot. Not only would they not discount the $41,820 MSRP, they had ZERO information on the available packages for '08, even though they have '08s on the lot!!! Why would I pay MSRP for an '07 when I can get an '08? How are the packages for '08? I saw labels like LUX, VR6 yet noone had any literature besides the VW Factory list. So sad, I had my checkbook in my pocket!

vwvortex.com has a thread that describes changes in packages for 2008.
For those of us that own an Eos, we would prefer that dealers not discount heavily...keeps resale value up.
I know, however, that that doesn't help you. Perhaps another dealer???

Perhaps? That dealership sounds like a dinosaur of the Rumpus Headupit species. If they won't help you buy a car, just wait until you have to deal with the service department. There's got to be another dealership withing a reasonable distance. Keep looking and good luck.
