Well, I'm in the UK and negotiated a good deal which equated to roughly a £1500 discount. This was about a £900 discount off of the car and then about £600 more for my part exchange than my car was actually worth.

This was all because I went in with some papers which showed that I was just about to buy an EOS from a grey-import website.

That's about $3000 USD at todays rate.

Yeah I did something similar using a leasing company which my company does business with.

After we'd negotiated the spec I wanted and just before signing up I showed VW the deal that they had offered me and saved about £1500 on the finance package, plus got paint protection in.

No wonder they gave me bugger all when I asked for freebies!

Unfortunately, none of those UK numbers are going to mean much. I can't help much either as mine is bought in Canada. Windex needs some good info from US customers!
Cheers!

I'll help out with some US numbers: I paid $33,500 for the beauty that's listed in my signature line. But I live in So Cal, where everything seems to be a bit more expensive. YMMV. :)

heheh Yea kinda... but thanks anyway everyone:)
Although I have been wondering if I should just order the manual ( Dealer told me it'd be like a 1-2 month wait) or get the DSG...
Hi Windex,
Manual versus automatic is a matter of personal choice, but I can tell you the the EOS DSG is absolutely fantastic!!!! Extremely smooth, fastest shifting I've ever seen, and a lot of fun with the paddle shift feature!

So I went to the dealer to see if we could talk shop on a 2.0T sport with navigation... He told me $34-35K... I told him I'd have to think about it. Arent the 2008 out already or are they coming out soon? I would think with the 2008 around the corner they would try to get these 2007s off the lot.

I've read that 2008s won't hit the lots until around September or October. I couldn't bear to wait that long. heck, it about killed me to wait the 2 weeks for my car to come in!

You could have put in an order to have one built the way you wanted like we did and waited 3 months for it to arrive. We ordered ours in July 06 when the dealers could start placing orders on the 07's. We paid MSRP of $36,385 for 2.0T Sport with DSG and DynAudio This replaced a car that was dying. So we really couldn't wait. No regrets though. After almost 9000 miles we have no real complaints.

Ok this was just the sport package for $35K... But the guy left a bad taste in my mouth and i am no longer getting an eos... Unfortunately I'm a very impatient person...
Your call... the Eos is worth the wait as there is nothing out right now that is like it.

I agree .... seems Windex may have had his mind made up before he asked. EOS is indeed a great value!

Especially now. There are deals to be had on a 2007 Eos as the dealers get ready for the 2008 models. Timing is everything

There were only 2 in the state when I got my 6sp manual. LOVE IT. I'm sure the DSG is wonderful, but the turbo with a manual is a thril to drive.
