You need some DVD writing software, something like Nero. You just need to place the folder containing the MP3s onto the DVD and hey presto, it works.

You could download the software from the net or if you're not sure just go to PC World and ask the techies there what you need.

You need to burn the disc as a data disk, putting the MP3 files on the CD as you would copy them to a hard drive folder. However, as far as I know, you can't do this on a DVD, at least not on the stock VW players. I wish you could - it would be great to have one DVD with about 2000 tracks on it!

I was having trouble getting the car to recognize the CD with MP3s when I used the native Windows burner software (I'm running Vista 64bit), even when I told it that it was a data disk. I downloaded a freeware program called CDBurnerXP. It's fairly intuitive to use, and the CDs worked great.

Windows integrated sowftware sometimes "plays" with your CD to make it faster to read in Windows. It includes a lot of "header" file information, that a lot of players jsut can't recognize. I avoid using that software and alwasy use NERO or Roxio. Those are great software!

Cheers!

If u have iTunes, things are much easier. I transfer the songs from the Library into a folder for example EOS 1 EOS 2 EOS 3 etc, and once u filled it up, good for 80MB or 90mins worth (for a conventional music CD), just click on the burn function and let iTunes do all the works for you :D
