I have a manual geared 2.0 FSI with 18.000km.
My problem is that the shifting from first to second comes with a pause because it's kind of hard.
And sometimes (not that often) when I'm in traffic and I am starting, first cannot get in place also...I must get in second and after that, first is getting in place, or I must leave my foot from the clutch and press again.
I have changed valvolines with the OEM ones allready.
Does anyone had the same problem?
Do you think that it might be the cables?

This is a known problem to VW which I had myself. Get your car booked in ASAP and get the gears sorted out under warranty.

I have similar random problem when shifting to 2nd gear with hot weather and AC on . Recently changed Valvoline's in manual transmission at 108k km and problem seems disappeared. So people with manual transmission change valvoline's previous the schedule and your engine oil max at 10k km. In my view, manufactures schedule maintenance is by far stretch the limits.
