Just saying hi! as a new member. This forum has already been a great help and I don't even pick the car up until March 1st! I figured I ought to join up as, by the sound of things, I'll be needing some tips and advice!!!

Hi. I am also due to become a proud new owner on 1st March - can't wait. Mind is a 2.0 TDI Sport, Black, black leather interior. Any tips you have received to date??

The biggest tip seems to be - get hold of krytox for the roof seals!!!

So many of you to become new owners on the 1st March. Should have a good few turn up for 'meets' and convoys this year then. Welcome all.
Yes Krytox is the top tip and if you search the posts you will even find a whole run through of how and where to use it posted by our resident techy Simon - worth a look.

Its a special lubricant for the roof seals on the Eos. It is not recommended that you use anything else, in case it damages the seals. It is expensive but a little goes a long way. There is also a VW part no for it but in most cases its a lot more expensive, better to go to an independet source but its still about £35 / 30mL

If you want more information trysearching this forum, there are several threads.

Other EOS on the road

OK, not long to wait now...

Would you believe I haven't seen any Eos' on the road since I ordered my car, until today when I saw two - one Island Grey on a roundabout off the A2, and a black one on the outskirts of Bromley - was God teasing me, do you think? Any of them a member here?

Anyway, roll on Saturday, and hopefully it will be nice enough to get the top down on Day 1...

I'm suprised you managed to notice anything round Bromley Artful! The way its changed since I lived there, you've got to have eyes in the back of your head to navigate the place! I got lost last time in the area and I grow up thereabouts!

Hi, SK2, I agree - Bromley has suffered from a surfeit of planning - awful one way systems, terrible parking, pedestrianised areas, confusing road signs, I try and avoid the place but one of the places I work is nearby.

Anyway, only one more day to go now...
