I've had my Eos for a few months now and unfortunately haven't had the time to mess about with it much b/c of work.

So...I'm trying to figure out how to connect my ipod. I thought I had bought a car with an ipod connector in the armrest, but it appears I haven't. In my armrest, I have an AUX connector and a MDI connector with a USB cord attached.

I attempted to attach the ipod thru a ipod/usb to the usb/mdi wire, but no joy. The car can't see the ipod.

Is there a mdi/ipod cord? Where would one purchase such an item? How much would such an item cost?

KTHXBAI!

jones_friday,

There is an MDI iPod cable. Order part number 000 051 446 C. It's about $40 to $65 and your local dealer can order it. Price depends on where you shop. Just go to the dealer and order that part. It's an MDI cable with a dock connector. The cable gives you full integration when you plug it into the iPod.

Ask your dealer first since they can order it for you. It's in stock at the warehouse but they have to order it. This site also has it as well. Hope this helps.

Would you consider parting with it?
sure
the kit is 2 parts
a lead that plugs into the 12v socket and ipod giving a/v output on 3 rca plugs. these then plug into a mfd2 a/v interface that needs to be connected to a seperate 12v supply and also to the mfd2 nav unit( also another lead if you want to play movies on the move as well)
you still have to operate and locate the ipod manually
pm me if interested

divice 2 is simular to this
