Hi all. Have just joined the club, as I am now the proud owner of a 2.0 TDi in Deep Black, with Vienna leather, Multi function wheel, Cruise, Parking mirrors.

I am a recent convert from a Megane CC, and look forward to as much fun with the Eos as I had with the Meg.

I would be very grateful if someone could give me a quick download of any issues/problems that a New unsuspecting owner should be aware of in the early days of ownership........... hopefully a fairly SHORT list ;)

Meos :)

I have a tip, don't take your car to the local Beadles if you live in the Bexleyheath area - they are shoddy! lol

Sorry - bit bitter, my car has been with them for over a month now due to a leak.

Don't let this put you off though. So where abouts do you live and when will I get to see your car? If you are in Bexley village or live by a big pub on the corner then I KNOW WHERE YOU LIVE! lol

Is this Krytox stuff any different to Silicone lubricant which you can buy in a spray can, and I have used on my old Meg for the last 4 years ?
The handbook states that you shouldn't use any silicone based lubricants on the seals. I'm not saying you couldn't or shouldn't, but it could give VW a reason to dispute any warranty claim in the future.

You can order the Krytox from VW or go direct to the UK distributor and get it cheaper - just search for "GBR Tech" and you'll find all you need.

oh - and tip #3.

Always de-ice your windows before unlocking in icy conditions.
