My Multi Function Display # 1 seems to reset each time the car is stopped. Number 2 stays until reset as it should, but number 1 resets the MPG, distance, time, etc each time it the car is started . Is this a setting I just haven't figured out yet or should it reset after each trip?

Think it depends how long you've been stopped for. It retains its memory for a few hours but then after that it will reset. It tells you how long somewhere in the handbook..
Somehow I missed that in my multiple readings of the manual. Two hours and then it resets. Cool, thought I had a problem only to find it's working as designed. The more I get to know this Eos the more smart I think these German engineers are

Yep, its 2 hours, its really really neat actually. Number 2 only resets if you reset it manually by holding down on the OK button. Its nice to not have to think about setting up a distance/fuel economy each time I drive the car, and its really nice to be able to see longer term distance/fuel economy on the 2 setting.
