Does anyone in Canada have the "mirror memory" option on their setup menu? It shows the "mirror adjust" option but "mirror memory" would be a separate option according to the manual. Mine only shows the "mirror adjust". I asked the dealer's service department whether it could be enabled but was told that it might be that it is not allowed in Canada.

no body with mirror memory in Canada?

Given the lack of response, I guess nobody has the ability to set the passenger's mirror to return automatically to the driving position after parking. Eh?

not sure about a menu option but the following procedure((c) Odie;)) worked for me (it's also in the manual)...

1. Start the engine.
2. Engage reverse gear.
3. Select mirror control knob to L (or R for LHD models).
4. Adjust the mirror glass to the position you want when reversing to help see the kerb (this sets the mirror's reversing position in the memory).
5. Take the car out of gear.
6. Turn the mirror adjust to off (the mirror glass should return to the normal driving position).
7. Stop the engine.

If you leave the mirror control at L (or R for LHD) the reversing tilt function is then automatic, just be aware that the mirror doesn't reset to the normal driving position until the car is going forward at approximately 10mph. Also, the mirror resets to the normal position when the ignition is turned off. Otherwise, only select the mirror control whenever you need the function.

to Odie and IanGee,

Well, I tried it again and still does not work. In particular, when I get to step 6 and turn the mirror adjust to off, nothing happens -- the mirror stays in the down position. And it does not return to original position even after starting forward beyond 15km.

I can only guess that your Eos must have used a different control unit fitted.

John, to whom was your post directed?
T'was towards yourself. :) Why they'd fit a different control unit is beyond me though.
