Recently acquired a new EOS.
Having had a look under the bonnet was surprised to see no cover over the top of the spark plug coil packs - is this normal (see attached photo).

It does look that way. I guess this isn't a 2l turbo, but you can see from a photo of my engine, whole whole area is covered.

I'm curious to your engine type. Mine looks like Bob's also.

Is your new Eos "new" or used and just new to you?

It's a 2007 (2008 model) 2.0L Petrol FSi (no turbo) - about 4 weeks old
