I just bought a red EOS with the IPOD in the center console. I don't own an IPOD, and don't plan on it. I thought the mp3 adaptor in the glove box was standard, but it is missing in mine. It's not a huge loss, but would have been convenient. Do they remove the glove box adaptor in place of the IPOD adaptor? Just curious. I have a work around, but it's not as good.
Thanks,
Phin :)

As far as I am aware (UK) that it is an option normally available to people who get the 6CD changer which sits in the centre arm rest where the iPod connector normally is. This glove box connection is not standard equipment.

In US cars there is usually an Auxiliary Jack in the glove box. It is up in the top of the glove box and looks like a little headphone jack. Buy a cable with a little stereo headphone jack on both sides and then you can plug it in and if you hit the CD button 2 times on your stereo it should bring up the aux input.

If you get a thin cable you can still shut the glove box and have the cable out. There may be a way to feed the cable behind the glove box and out but I just plug mine in and feed it out the side of the glove box.

However since you got the Ipod adaptor you don't get the aux jack, you just get the ipod adaptor for the aux input. That is why I personally got the Aux jack. It may not do all that the Ipod adaptor does with an Ipod in place, but it can plug in ANY player that uses a standard headphone jack. I plug my Garmin Nuvi in it because I DETEST Ipods for a variety of reasons.

OMG you are my hero!!! I saw the little 1/4" phono jack in my glove box and it was driving me nutz! I asked the dealer if that was the aux input as I suspected, and no one could come up with an answer to my question.
I scowered the manual, and couldn't find anything about it; in that I had no AUx button I gave up hope that it was an input I desperately wanted.
Now it all makes sence, thanks for the bit of info!!
