Hey chaps and lasses....
What sort of average MPG could i expect from a 2.0 turbo sport? i do an mix of town driving and motorways...What sort of tank ranges do you guys get?

I know is objective petrol against diesel and every one has their views.

But I have a 4 month old 2.0 TDI Individual (I assure you very few cars pass me on the way to work, indeed they only pass me when i bottle out re speed limits, someone is prepared to take a gretaer risk then me).

On a long run, without gear changes etc it pull mid to high 50's for me.

"Urban" driving down the A6 and into Luton each morning, 22 mile run, it averages out from the tank at 48.6.

I've had my 2.0T Sport for a little over two years now and have about 28k miles on the odo. Lately, if I don't "hot foot" it too much, I'm getting 28 to 30 mpg in mixed city/hiway driving.

I get abt 28/30 in normal everyday driving incl town work as well. Usually about 32/34 when not much traffic about.

On a good long run can get up to 38/39 mpg if careful!

With my 2.0. TDI I usually get 50mpg but with conservative driving I have managed to get 60mpg a couple of times.

With general driving around town I get about 35-45mpg.

i have a 2.0 (d) and doing about 400 miles a week at the moment mostly M and A roads and have an MPG of between 55 and 60

Filled my tank and have driven over 500 miles and still have a qtr of a tank left

On my 6 mile trip to work in the rush hour I get between 19 and 23mpg!!! Have seen mid 30s on leisurely sunday afternoon drives though.

Hi Davey,

You need to specify where you are 'cos US MPG and UK MPG are different due to difference between the US gallon and the Imperial gallon.

Average Fuel Consumption

Hi Davey-g,

I get approx 15-16l/100km in my 2.0T, but then I tend to do a pretty low mileage (only 10,000km in 12 months) & my daily commute is only a 16km round trip through Abu Dhabi city. Not sure the Bluefin helps much either, but it's fun ;-)
