I have just fitted mud flaps to my car today. I'm hoping they will help keep my car a bit cleaner. My car is black and I live in the middle of muddy nowhere, not a great combination, but the car does look brilliant in black and I like the countryside. They were very easy to fit, and my local dealer also gave me a 10% discount.

I too have a black Eos, and live on an unfinished new housing development (mud everywhere). The mud flaps and rubber interior mats are the best. They stop the sides looking as if I've been rallying, and give the carpets a break from mud and water.

Me too!

Picked up the car last Friday, fitted mud flaps and rubber mats Saturday!
Also got some for the 1 yr old Polo, but despite me sticking the hose under there every time I wash it, there is a ton of muck under each corner- looks like I'll be getting down and dirty next week-end!

Tools required are pretty few- A torqx screwdriver, a couple of open-ended spanners and a sharp pointy thing to make holes in the plastic wheel-arch liner for the self-tapping screws. Two screws have to go up through the rear bumper so I used a hand brace with a 1/16 drill for this as the plastic is quite tough.

You have to remove each road wheel, which takes most of the time, using a trolley jack I did the lot in an hour and a quarter.

Cheers,
Pete.
