I tend to listen to the radio mostly, but otherwise Fratellis, Kean or Coldplay, all depends on the mood.

I must admit, I mostly listen to radio ... and more often than not to Business Report /Stock Market to see if I'm making enough money to pay for my EOS! Then if news is good, I'll turn on some EZ listening music and just enjoy the ride!

At the moment I've got these discs loaded - Wildhearts, The Sounds, CSS, Less than Jake, Rancid and the new Kings of Leon album which is fantastic.

Usually have the radio on Kerrang in the morning till it starts to lose the signal then hit the discs :)

It seems that the older you get, the radio seems to get higher priority;)
(at least in Freds and my cases)

I think you are right Graham ... just too lazy to keep swapping disks; but still young enough, at heart, to appreciate a good convertible! First one I had was an early 50's Morris Minor convertible!

I listen to the radio a lot too but also have quite a few CDs in the car for when I fancy something of my own choice.

Wide selection: currently in my car is Ella Fitzgerald, Frank Sinatra, Bill Evans, Stacey Kent, Diana Krall, Jamie Cullum (all Jazz of course!) plus The Who, The Everly Brothers (60s); Abba (70s); Sinead O'Connor, Enja, Blondie (80s/90s); the Killers (2007!); then Rachmaninov, Maria Callas, George Gershwin, Elgar. Catholic taste!

Hey, ShinyHead O'Connor, that'll do me! She lost her wee way a bit, but time can be a healer, I hope. I've Ella doing the classics, and Frank, but my jazz is now more Weather Report, Keith Jarrett, so many others can be just going through the motions. Progressive jazz can be magic, as long as it doesn't sound like a fire in a pet shop! 'Reindeer Section' that I mentioned earlier included the Snow Patrol guys, so I'm biased, as their parents used to bring them, every summer, to my pub as kids and play on the swing in the garden. They said it was their annual holiday treat, and brought a tv crew down to relive it, holymoly, look at them now. I do try very hard not to pose and turn my music down in slow streets.....honest....

Hi Folks!

I have been an avid music collector for nearly 35 years, and a radio disc jockey for half as long. So it's very possible that if you pull up next to me at a traffic light you might hear anything that's okay to play from an open air vehicle in public.

Here's some examples: Temptations, Kirk Whalum, Roberta Flack, Duke Ellington, Bread, Nick Kershaw, Wes Montgomery, Isley Brothers, Peter Gabriel, Beatles, Luther Vandross, Vince Guaraldi, Eagles, John Coltrane," Cameo, J.S. Bach, Drifters, Fourplay, India Arie, Sting, Tchaikovsky, Aretha Franklin, Devo, Keith Jarrett, Bonnie Rait, Miles Davis, Screeching Weasel, James Brown, Anita Baker, INXS, Ravel, Weather Report, Jill Scott, Ne-Yo, Robert Cray, Elvis . . . hell, even Neil Sadaka!!

On Wednesday nights I tune into Sirius Gold (500) and listen to B.J. Lubinsky. On Saturday mornings I listen to Spotlight Gold with Youngblood on Kiss 104.1 FM here in Atlanta. Both of these guys are deejays who, like me, have some "skilz" and really know their genres. And it's easy to tell that they have as much fun on the air as I do.

Perhaps the next time I'm in Boston and scheduled to do one of my encore shows I'll post a notice here. Then y'all can pick me up on the Internet and decide for yourselves!
