Welcome Ronnie, hope you had the seat heaters on, very very nice colour.

Did the privacy glass come as standard or was it retro-fitted, if so how much if you dont mind me asking.

How are you finding the 1.4TSI, I have heard good things about it.

re- Privacy glass - is it worth getting this as part of the package when you buy the car? I've heard terrible things about retro-fitting the "privacy"! :D

D Girl, Hiya.

You are quite right about problems fitting the privacy tint, I too have heard lots of horror stories.

Probably the most reputable companies are Pentagon Autotech or Guardian Tints.

Pentagon are non mobile whilst Guardian are mobile. A good tint takes about a day and the reputable ones will not tint the front windows above the legal limit.

Pentagon's product is shatter proof and is a good crime deterent. The only problem is that if you have an accident and the doors are jammed you cant smash the window to get out.

I was quoted £350 by Guardian, which I am going to have done shortly.

That doesn't sound too bad....and with my birthday and xmas coming up I might have to treat myself! I really think it will be worth it, although my fella is a bit dubious due to all these horror stories etc. Hmm I will look further into it. Thanks for your help! :D

Hello all.
It was a lovely day, about 9 degrees and felt fab,,,,,,,,,,,,,,
and I too love the colour and the wheels, havnt seen another the same as yet. (not seen that many in any colour)
Window tints were after market fit at http://www.xtremeautotints.co.uk/ who are based in Glasgow. This is the second car they have done for me and they are brilliant (and no, I dont have any link to them) cost me £155 after some negotiation and took a full day. I think that was a very fair price and the job is top notch. He did say the back window was very difficult and this was the first Eos he had done so I think he might charge a little more if he does another. £350 sounds very expensive to me as quoted by Guardian. I'd knock them down a fair bit..........As for the 1.4 turbo engine, fantastic ....................

Ronnie, mid summer temperatures in Scotland then, God we are a hardy race. Very nice colour, think I would have prefered over my dark blue now.

Hey Ronnie you have the same colour as me :D i've only seen about 3 the same colour as ours so far so guessing its either a rare colour or just unpopular :(

This weekend I went out with my roof down and ended up with a cold :(
I'm getting my windows tinted soon when I have chance to be without Snobbers :)

Happy EDA'S

Poor you with a cold. :(
Is your car Island Grey? Mine is Pewter which has just come out but I think maybe they are quite similar. Pewter is very rare and one reason I love it. :)
Enjoy tints when you get it done. My only hint would be you try and use a company thats recommended so you get a professional job done.
Mine just looks like a factory fit but was retro.

LOL no! Its a type of alarm that will make a noise if you go within 6 foot of the car :) but it would bring insurance down alot :)

I am assuming that you don't turn it on when you are in a shopping centre car park or similar, as it would be going off constantly.

A few years ago I saw something similar for sale in the USA, that vocally warned that the car was alarmed and the closer they got, the louder it yelled, until the alarm finally did go off.
