2007 3.2

The batteries died last week and after charging them up enough to start the rig, one of my boys tried to punch a code into the radio too many times and locked it. It's now in "safe" mode. The dealership replaced both batteries and said the radio should go out of safe mode in a couple of hours and gave me the 4 digit code to unlock it. Thing is, it never went out of safe mode.

Anyone know if there's a way to force it out of safe mode so I don't have to go back to the dealership?

Btw, the 3.2 uses two 6 volt Yellow Top Optima batteries for those that are interested. :)

Got it figured out. The dealership said it'd reset after a couple of hours. The truth is, and the owners manual confirmed it, you need to leave the key on for 1 consecutive hour. Not an accumulation of 1 hour. Turn on the key, turn off the headlights and after 60 minutes the safe mode is off and you're ready to enter the 4 digit code.
