Need advice~! (smarttop)

I just got mine from emotormania.com. the installation is simple and I'm not tech person. Here is the link for the instruction:

They are also having 10% off till end of this month and Y cable (which is a must have) comes with it. Its pretty sweet once you install it. I think its a must have on all convertible.

I got mine from Mods4Cars, with the wiring loom. It went in easy enough, but wouldn't work. I had to re-fit it twice (can't tell you what I did differently each time) & then it worked fine. It was a bit of hassle at the time, but such a cool add-on that I really don't understand why VW don't have it as standard or at least an option. The best feature is definitely the one touch open/close.

Yeah get one there cool! Got mine from mods4cars and I would recommend them as a seller. Mine did go wrong but that was due to some moisture getting in the unit from my roof seal problem. I posted it back to California for a few quid and got the unit back a week later with new updated software, free of charge.
I agree that VW should have done this as standard but there we go.
It most certainly is the coolest mod, and you can set it up the way you like it. I plip the car as I leave the front door of the house, and the roof has just finished stowing away as I reach the car, NICE. Plus you can just do windows and/or sunroof also.
But the best thing for me simply that you can get the horn to chirp on locking the car so you know for sure you've done it as you walk away from the car, without looking back round to check the hazards flash.

Mods4Cars are the manufacturers, so I guess I should recommend you get it from there. I did and all was well... I think I was one of the first on this forum to get one, so have had it a couple of years nearly... It's a great MOD! Definately the best one I can think of!

Got mine from mods4cars, easy to fit with wiring loom, and worked first time. 
I am amongst the least practical people I know and I installed it with no problems within about 30 minutes.
One quick tip you may want to consider- the module is firmware updateable through USB. To avoid having to unfix all of the carpet to get to the device again when the next update becomes available I left a long USB cable plugged in and hidden beneath the boot liner. This way if I need to to an update I just need to lift the bootliner and plug the cable it into my laptop - no hassle.
The SmartTop is a great mod - I love being able to open and close the windows, sunroof and roof remotely.

I have had the SmartTop Module for 18 months and use it all the time to open and close the top with my key fob remote. In all that time I have had my top open and close flawlessly. This is a great product, I think everyone with an Eos would enjoy it.
I also love the way that it enables one touch operation of the window up and and all windows up functions, like my Touareg came with from the factory.
The one touch operation of the sunroof both up and down is nice, too.
I have mine set to open/close at up to 7 MPH, but it can be set like the VW default to only open / close only when the car is at a full stop.
All good, no bad in my view.
