hi everyone.

found a demo on the web with 2000KM on the clock. before it arrived i knew it was a silver, DSG, 2.0 TDi. got it today and it has the following extras i did not know about: multifunction steering wheel, flappy gearchange paddles, ipod dock in arm rest, wind deflector, xenon lights with turning, 18" chicago alloys, rear wind deflector, chrome inserts to the dash and surrounds. it drives superbly, even on tenerifes poor roads, and the DSG box is dream. paid 29K euros. how did i do?

i have a couple of questions:

should it come with floor mats? i can see the locating nipples, but they have supplied cheap general mats that are just floating around in the footwell.

do VW supply locking wheel nuts?

will post some pics when i get chance.

Welcome to the forum and congrats on your purchase. As for your questions I will try to help. You bought a demo and sometimes not all items are there. I would think that an Eos with the equipment level as you describe should have come with VW supplied carpeted floor mats that are held in place with the locator/locking devices you mentioned. As for the locking wheel nuts, they started supplying them on the cars starting in 2008 in the US. I don't know if that is true for your part of the world.

Welcome to the club silvereos. You sound like you got a good deal there! I think you should of got the mats in for sure, as for the wheel nuts, I dont know. I will have to get my husband to check mine!
Hope you enjoy the car, you should get plenty of great weather for the top down.

Regards Trish

thanks for the responses guys.

i found the mats. they were under the wind deflector bag in the boot/trunk.

also found cruise control and split climate control. cannot believe the extras it has.:)

it sits so much lower than the new one in the showroom i saw today - mine has a really nice low crouching stance and look great with the roof up. we have a calima (sand storm from the sahara - 45 degrees C) today and the car is already so dusty already.
